Our Initiatives

BCP(Business Continuity Plan)

BCP working group activities

We make every effort to maintain safe operations, including giving due consideration to the safety of our employees, their families, affiliated companies, and residents of local communities. We established (internal) BCP standards in September 2008, and have engaged in BCP activities on an ongoing basis, to minimize any impacts on our customers in the event of a natural disaster or serious accident.

1. Basic policy for BCP activities

As a basic policy, BCPs place priority on minimizing personal damage in the event of a natural disaster, accident, or other incidents. They are improved and modified under a bipolar promotional framework composed of an organization for normal time activities and an organization for emergency times. BCPs also focus on ensuring the stable supply of key products and on preventing the leakage of confidential information.

2. BCP organization and framework

Our BCP framework is composed of a BCP working group, which is responsible for selecting, assessing and avoiding risks in normal times and for formulating risk mitigation measures, and a risk control committee, which is organized and convened in times of emergency to issue instructions regarding initial responses to recovery operations.
The chain of command in times of emergency is as shown below.
